The company was founded in 1937 as Chosun Machine Tools and was the first company to manufacture forklifts in Korea. They have been manufacturing and marketing forklifts in Europe for 32 years and in the United States for over 20 years. Daewoo built Caterpillar forklifts from 1983 to 1992 at which time they began marketing lifts in North America under their own name. In December 2007 Doosan purchased Bobcat and Ingersoll Rand’s utility equipment and attachment businesses. Doosan now has a combined distribution and manufacturing network exceeding 3500 dealers and 20 manufacturing plants worldwide. Doosan has a proven track record of reliability and quality with their customer’s.
